Improving your own sense of fulfillment and happiness?
We are a local group of nearly 30 men and women who strive to make a difference to the lives of others in our local community and beyond.
From taking local disabled people horse-riding to organising Highland Gatherings (they seem to also work in Hertfordshire!) and coordinating Giant Easter Egg raffles for local hospices, we mastermind or contribute to all kinds of fund raising and care initiatives and events. And having fun and making new friends along the way is a big part of what we do too.
We are always looking for new members to join us. To qualify you just need to be over 18, with an open-minded and kind heart… and a sense of humour also helps!
“This sounds terrific, but where will I find the time?”
We recognise that people lead busy lives. With this in mind, we have flexible membership options which allow members to help out when they can. Alternatively, we are always on the look-out for volunteers, so if you think you might be able to help out at any of our events (without becoming a fully fledged Lion) then please get in touch!
We'd love to hear from you…
Drop us a line at membership@harpenden-lions.co.uk - we are always happy to answer any questions.
Alternatively e-mail our secretary Mark Deacon at secretary@harpenden-lions.co.uk
We’d love to see you at one of our meetings or social events - we promise a friendly greeting, a pint or a cuppa with no strings attached!
